Lemon is a rich source of citric acid and has antioxidant properties in it that helps to adjust body’s pH balance. The vitamin C in lemon improves your digestive system health and flushes away the unwanted materials and toxins out of the body.
What you need to do is:
- Squeeze one lemon in a glass of warm water.
- Sprinkle some sea salt and add a tsp of honey.
- Mix well and drink on empty stomach daily in the morning.
- Wait for at least one hour before you can have your breakfast.
Licorice may not taste good to everyone but its anti-inflammatory properties are good for treating diverticulitis. Moreover, it helps to reduce spasms and inflammation caused in the gastrointestinal tract.
Buy licorice powder and add one-half tsp. of it in a cup of water. Now mix well and boil this mixture. Strain and drink it thrice a day, 30-minutes before eating your meals. While I don’t recommend, but since it’s safe, you can also consume licorice tablets approx. 380 to 1,140 mg per day.
