5. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
Apple Cider Vinegar is a very effective alkalizing remedy and it helps to thin the mucus quickly and makes it easier to eliminate it. Not only that, ACV is also popular for boosting the immune system.
You need to mix approx. 2 tbsp. of raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar with a little raw honey in a cup of warm water.
Mix it well and drink it twice a day.
The citric acid in lemon quickly and effectively loosens the mucus for quick removal. It also has high vitamin C content that helps to improve the body’s resistance to different infections.
Take a fresh lemon, cut it half and squeeze it in a cup of warm water.
Now, add some raw honey for taste and mix well.
Drink it daily in the morning on an empty stomach. You can also squeeze a lemon in green or black tea.
7. Vitamin C
Look for Vitamin C sources. Eat vitamin C rich foods as much as you can. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps boost your immune system and build resistance against various infections.
Foods like lemons, oranges, kiwis, berries, tomatoes, papayas and broccoli are great sources of vitamin C.
Drinking more water throughout the day also helps to slowly thin the mucus and keep the nasal passages well hydrated.
Needless to say, dehydration drastically aggravates the symptoms of post nasal drip.
It’s better to drink warm water or plain water. Avoid the cold one. Alternatively, you can also drink hot lemonade, chicken soup, broths and green tea.
