I call it the best and most effective remedy for swollen tonsils. It combats against the bacteria and fights the dryness and sore throat at nighttime.
Simply take a spoon or two of honey and mix it in tea or eat directly. You can also sprinkle some black pepper powder to 1 tbsp. of honey and eat it. Honey has speed healing properties.
2: Salt Water
Salt may feel pinching into your tonsils but it can help a lot. Gargling daily with salt water before you go to sleep will soothe the sore throat and break down those secretions. What you do is take warm water in a cup and add ½ tbsp. of salt in it. Now gargle it and spit it out. If the infection is too severe, you should gargle after every 3 hours.
3: Marshmallow Root
Marshmallow root has mucus-like substance that puts a thick layer over your throat and soothes it instantly. Buy some dried roots and add them to a cup of boiling water to prepare tea. Now sip it twice or thrice a day for best results. It’s also good for curing diabetes.
Garlic contains sulfur which has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties in it, making it a very effective home remedy.
Take raw garlic, peel it and then crush it. Mix it with some honey and lemon juice and consume it many times during the day.
